Illinois Towns Unite for Relay For Life Cancer Fundraiser

This Saturday, residents across Hamilton, Wayne, and White counties will gather for something bigger than any single town could accomplish alone: honoring every person touched by cancer.

The annual Relay For Life event kicks off at 4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Carlton Center in McLeansboro. The four-hour celebration welcomes everyone, whether they're survivors, caregivers, or community members wanting to show support.

Cancer survivors and their caregivers get special treatment from the start. They can register at the Survivor Table as soon as doors open, marking their incredible journeys in the fight against the disease.

The event packs plenty of activities into its evening schedule. Families can enjoy entertainment, food booths, raffles, children's activities, and face painting while supporting an important cause.

At 5 p.m., the Opening Ceremony launches the official program. Throughout the evening, luminaria will glow in memory of loved ones lost and in honor of those still fighting.
