India Opens First 500 MW Solar Module Factory in Odisha

Group Surya just fired up India's first large-scale solar module factory in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, bringing cutting-edge renewable energy manufacturing to a state that's never had it before.

The fully automated production line handles multiple advanced technologies, including bifacial panels that capture sunlight from both sides and ultra-efficient tunnel oxide passivated contact designs.

Quality control here isn't just good. It's exceptional. Artificial intelligence systems monitor every step of production, catching defects so effectively that breakage rates drop to fewer than five modules per 10,000 produced.
