India Solar Firm Opens 1 GW Cell Plant in Six Months

Fujiyama Power Systems just flipped the switch on a giant solar cell factory that marks a turning point for India's homegrown clean energy industry.

The rooftop solar company opened a 1 gigawatt solar cell manufacturing plant in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. That's enough capacity to produce cells for systems that could power millions of homes across India.
