Ireland Offers €10,000 Scholarships to 60 Students

Dreams of studying in Ireland just became more affordable for students around the world. The Irish government announced its 2026 scholarship program offering 60 international students full tuition plus €10,000 to pursue graduate degrees.

The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship opens applications on January 29. Students have until March 12 to apply, with winners announced in early June 2026.

Each scholarship covers one full year of master's or PhD studies. Winners receive a €10,000 living stipend while their Irish university waives all tuition fees for the program's duration.

The program targets high-achieving students from outside Europe who want to study at Irish universities. Candidates must already have a conditional or final admission offer from an eligible Irish institution before applying for the scholarship.

Ireland's Higher Education Authority manages the competitive program in partnership with Irish universities. Only one application per student is allowed, making the submission count.

The online portal launches January 29, giving applicants six weeks to gather materials including two references and proof of university admission. Candidates should verify their chosen program's eligibility directly with their Irish university.
