Juiced Bikes Ships $1,699 E-Mopeds With Premium Specs

Juiced Bikes is now shipping its comeback product: two electric mopeds that challenge the idea you need to pay more for better specs.

The California-based company, recently acquired by the team behind Lectric eBikes, launched its Scrambler Hardtail and Scrambler Full Suspension models just weeks ago. Now those bikes are leaving warehouses and heading to customers' driveways.

The specs tell an impressive story. Both models feature a 750-watt motor that peaks above 1,700 watts, reaching speeds up to 28 mph. The battery capacity stands out even more: a substantial 1 kilowatt-hour of energy, with an option to nearly double that on the Hardtail version.

Juiced didn't cut corners on safety either. The bikes come standard with 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes, inverted front suspension forks with 140mm of travel, and UL-certified battery systems. The Full Suspension model adds rear shock absorption for riders tackling rougher terrain.

Parents get a thoughtful feature too: a passcode-locked speed limiter that lets them cap performance for younger riders. It's the kind of detail that shows someone thought beyond just making the bike go fast.

The Ripple Effect

The pricing strategy could reshape what riders expect from performance e-bikes. The Hardtail starts at $1,699, while the Full Suspension comes in at $1,899, both several hundred dollars below similar competitors.

For years, the moped-style e-bike market leaned heavily on brand recognition, often charging premium prices for the name on the frame. Juiced's approach flips that script by offering larger batteries, more powerful motors, and better components at lower costs.

This matters beyond just one company's product launch. When a major player proves you can deliver quality without inflated prices, it pushes the entire industry to offer better value. Riders who previously couldn't afford premium e-bikes now have options that don't compromise on performance.

The quick turnaround from announcement to delivery also signals something hopeful: a company that makes promises and keeps them. In an industry where vaporware and delays have frustrated customers, actually shipping products on schedule rebuilds trust.
