Knights of Columbus Rally Community for School Safety Project

When Holy Name Catholic School needed safer locker room access, the Knights of Columbus showed up with tools, time, and hearts ready to serve.

The Escanaba, Michigan community organization has spent countless hours renovating the pathway between the school's Charlie Cretens Gymnasium and locker rooms. Thanks to grant funding and community donations, the project will improve safety and accessibility for students, athletes, and visitors for years to come.

Now the Knights are asking neighbors to join them in completing the work. Anyone with skills in construction, carpentry, electrical work, painting, or general handyman tasks can make a difference.

Even those without trade experience are welcome to contribute. The project simply needs willing hands and generous hearts.

"We are incredibly grateful for the leadership and generosity of the Knights of Columbus and all those whose donations of time and funding are making this project possible," said Jane Arts, the school's Director of Advancement. "Together, we can continue building a safer and stronger future for Holy Name students."

The Ripple Effect

This renovation represents something bigger than updated facilities. When volunteers invest their time in school safety projects, they're showing students that their community values them.

The Knights of Columbus have modeled servant leadership throughout this project. Their example has already inspired additional community members to step forward with donations and support.
