The transformation required some serious renovations. Crews removed corner seats to create the wider dimensions FIFA requires and built in auxiliary space that meets international specifications. It's a massive undertaking, but one the city is embracing with pride.

Metro just unveiled special FIFA-themed transit cards in 21 different designs, including country-specific options and even a light-up collector's card. The transit system partnered with 11 other regional lines to offer direct stadium bus service for just $3.75 roundtrip from 15 park-and-ride lots across Los Angeles and Orange counties.
That's 300 dedicated buses per match, designed to get fans to the games without disrupting regular commuters. The city is also launching 10 fan zones across Los Angeles County for watch parties and activities, plus an official FIFA Fan Festival at the historic Memorial Coliseum.
Basketball legend Magic Johnson, who serves as a community ambassador and co-owns LAFC, pointed out his suite where he'll be watching. "When you think about the financial impact it's going to have on Los Angeles, it's going to be amazing," he said.
