Laredo Shelter Offers Triple Credit for Volunteer Help

Laredo Animal Care Services is making volunteering even more rewarding by offering triple credit to anyone willing to help organize their shelter supplies and food storage areas.

The Texas shelter announced Thursday that it urgently needs hands to sort and arrange supplies at its facility on Maher Avenue. Instead of the usual hour-for-hour credit, volunteers will earn three hours for every hour they work.

The initiative targets a practical need that keeps shelter operations running smoothly. With organized supplies and properly arranged food storage, staff can spend more time caring for the dogs and cats waiting for homes.

Anyone 18 or older can participate after completing a brief orientation and consent form. The application process is simple and available online, requiring only a valid ID to get started.
