Las Vegas Real Estate Groups Pack Kits for Homeless Youth

✨ Faith Restored

Commercial real estate professionals across Las Vegas are teaming up to support hundreds of young people experiencing homelessness through donation drives and volunteer events. Eight industry organizations are joining forces to pack hygiene kits, prepare meals, and deliver essential supplies to Nevada's most vulnerable youth.

Volunteers from Las Vegas's commercial real estate community are rolling up their sleeves to help homeless youth get the supplies they desperately need.

The Commercial Alliance Las Vegas (CALV) and Las Vegas REALTORS are leading a major donation drive for the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth, an organization that has served thousands of young people since 2001. Six additional real estate groups have joined the effort, turning it into one of the industry's biggest community service initiatives this year.

On April 25, volunteers will gather at NPHY's drop-in center on Shirley Street from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to pack hygiene kits and prepare food packages. The work might sound simple, but these basic supplies can make a huge difference for young people struggling to meet their daily needs while searching for stable housing.

The effort doesn't stop there. On May 1, the same volunteers will personally distribute the kits to hundreds of expected attendees at an NPHY community event. Face-to-face interaction helps show these young people that their community hasn't forgotten them.

This partnership has been years in the making. CALV has consistently supported NPHY through financial donations totaling thousands of dollars, supply collections, and even hands-on renovation projects at NPHY residences and their local drop-in center.

The Ripple Effect

When commercial real estate professionals dedicate their time to homeless youth, they're investing in Southern Nevada's future workforce and community. NPHY doesn't just provide temporary relief. The organization helps young people graduate high school, enroll in college, start careers, and transition into safe housing.

Since 2001, NPHY has become Nevada's most comprehensive service provider for youth experiencing homelessness. In 2017, they expanded their impact by co-founding The Movement to End Youth Homelessness, which now drives policy change and coordinates community-wide efforts through an annual summit.

The coalition includes the Nevada Appraisal Institute, Building Owners and Managers Association, Southern Nevada CCIM, Commercial Real Estate Women, Institute of Real Estate Management, NAIOP Southern Nevada, and Urban Land Institute Nevada. When this many professional groups align behind one cause, it sends a powerful message about community priorities.

Hundreds of young people will receive essential supplies thanks to volunteers who chose to spend their weekend making a difference.
