Louisville Restaurant Gives 100% of Profits to Charity
A Kentucky restaurant owner pledged to donate every dollar of profit to nonprofits. One year later, Noah's Kitchen has given away over $100,000 while staying financially strong.
Adam Ursprung felt a calling in church one Sunday that changed everything. The Louisville restaurant owner decided to open a business that would serve something bigger than great food.
That vision became Noah's Kitchen, an "elevated comfort food" restaurant in Brownsboro Crossing that donates 100% of its profits to charity. One year after opening its doors, the restaurant just hit a remarkable milestone: over $100,000 given to local and national nonprofits.
"This milestone isn't just ours. It belongs to our community," said Adam, who also owns a Steak and Shake down the road. "Every guest who walks through our doors is part of something bigger."
The concept is simple but radical. Noah's Kitchen operates as a 501(c)(3) charitable restaurant, covering all expenses including rent and employee salaries first. Everything left over goes directly to organizations making a difference.

Hope Rescued received the largest donation at $44,907. Camberwell Grief Sanctuary got $12,620, The Prisoner's Hope received $9,340, and Sunrise Children's Services collected $8,044. Numerous other nonprofits each received between $1,000 and $4,000.
Adam told local news that releasing his grip on money transformed him. "When I stopped clinging to my money and I started giving it away, my heart grew exponentially," he said. "It's bringing me more happiness and peace than I ever dreamed of."
The Ripple Effect
Every meal at Noah's Kitchen creates a chain reaction of good. Diners enjoy comfort food while their payment flows directly into grief support, prisoner rehabilitation, children's services, and hope for struggling families. What started as one man's faith-driven dream now touches countless lives across Louisville and beyond.
The restaurant proves that purpose and profit can work together. Adam called his original goals "God-sized," but now he's confident the model works financially. He believes Noah's Kitchen will become a household name as other communities see what's possible when businesses put giving first.
As the restaurant approaches its June 18 anniversary, the team is celebrating with the community that made it all happen. Everyday diners transformed into everyday heroes, one plate at a time.
