Malnourished French Bulldog "Miracle" Walks Again in Florida

A French bulldog who barely clung to life just days ago walked outside an animal hospital in Fort Lauderdale on Friday, stunning her rescuers with her resilience.

The dog was found abandoned behind a Walgreens on Broward Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, suffering from severe malnutrition and serious health complications. Rescuers with iHeart Animal Rescue took her in and named her Miracle.

"I hadn't been able to see her walk yet and I can't believe she's walking," said Cindy Mucciaccio with iHeart Animal Rescue. The moment marked a major milestone that many weren't sure would come.

It remains unclear how long Miracle survived on her own before being discovered. Her condition suggested prolonged neglect, but her will to recover has amazed everyone caring for her.

The little French bulldog is now strong enough to head to a foster home, where she'll continue healing in a safe environment. Her transformation from near death to taking steps toward a new life happened in a matter of days.
