Manchester Invites Volunteers to Clean Local Waterways

Manchester residents have a chance to make a visible difference in their community this month by joining hands to clean local streams and waterways.

The City of Manchester is hosting its annual Clean Stream event on Saturday, September 26, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Families, local residents, and community groups are all invited to help remove debris and litter from designated waterways across the city.

Event organizers are making it easy for volunteers to participate. Free donuts will greet everyone at the start of the cleanup to fuel the morning's work. All necessary supplies will be provided to registered participants.

To join the effort, residents need to pre-register by Monday, September 21. Event coordinator Stephanie Hardesty is collecting registrations via email at shardesty@manchestermo.gov. Early registration helps organizers prepare enough supplies and refreshments for everyone who shows up.
