Married With Children Cast Reunites for MS Research

When Christina Applegate lives with multiple sclerosis, her TV family shows up in the most meaningful way possible.

The "Married... With Children" cast is reuniting Wednesday at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles for a special evening benefiting Race to Erase MS. David Faustino, who played Bud Bundy for 11 seasons, says he and Applegate still talk regularly despite the decades since their show ended in 1997.

"She's helped me with a lot of things in my life, and I'm hoping I'm being there for her," Faustino shared in a recent interview. The bond between the TV siblings has only grown stronger since Applegate revealed her MS diagnosis in 2021.

What stands out most to Faustino is how Applegate faces her condition with the same humor fans loved on screen. "She's very sarcastic, very dry, always has been and continues to be, and she still makes me laugh," he said.

The reunion brings together Applegate, Faustino, and their TV parents Ed O'Neill and Katey Sagal. When planning the event, Faustino asked Applegate which foundation should receive the proceeds.

Her choice was immediate: Race to Erase MS. "The medicines and drugs that have come out from the research they've done have been life-changing," Applegate told him.

This reunion proves that some TV families become real families. The cast has stayed close through the years, with Applegate hosting each former costar on her podcast "MeSsy," where she and fellow actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler discuss living with MS.

When Applegate received her Hollywood Walk of Fame star in November 2022, both Faustino and Sagal were there celebrating. Faustino spoke about the "fearlessness" he saw in Applegate from the moment they met as young actors.
