Beyond time management, the controls tackle content safety too. Parents can restrict which hashtags their teens can view and adjust privacy settings to create safer browsing experiences. These new options work alongside existing protections already built into all teen accounts on Threads.

Meta plans to make the features available to all families starting next week. Parents can access everything through the Family Center, the same hub where they manage other Meta platforms.
