Minnesota Vixen Win First National Championship 42-14

The Minnesota Vixen just made history, winning their first Women's Football Alliance championship after more than two decades of competitive play.

The team crushed the Pittsburgh Passion 42-14 on Saturday at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. Quarterback Erin Kelly earned game MVP honors as Minnesota's defense dominated with five turnovers, including four interceptions.

Founded in 1999 as a barnstorming team, the Vixen hold the distinction of being the longest continuously operating women's tackle football team in the country. They joined the Women's Football Alliance in 2017 and have reached the championship game multiple times, but victory remained elusive until now.

The road to the title wasn't easy. The Vixen finished the regular season 5-1, with their only loss coming against rivals St. Louis Slam. That made their playoff rematch even sweeter when they defeated the Slam on their championship run.
