Moroccan Students Win Olympic Case Study in Switzerland

Students from a Moroccan university just made history by winning a prestigious international competition hosted by the Olympic Committee itself.

The team from Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra took first place at the International Olympic Case Study Competition on March 24, 2026, in Lausanne, Switzerland. They competed against powerhouse sports universities from Germany, Belgium, France, and Monaco.

The students from the Institute of Sports Professions tackled this year's challenge: finding solutions to support young elite athletes. The competition asks teams to apply research and analysis to real problems in sports management, testing both their academic knowledge and creative problem solving.

This wasn't an easy field. Ibn Tofail faced the German Sport University Cologne, International University of Monaco, and prestigious programs from Leuven, Lille, and Tübingen. Two of the finalists had already won the competition in previous years.
