Rabat recently welcomed 180 international delegates from across North America, Latin America, and Europe for one of the world's largest luxury business gatherings. The city beat out Marrakech for the honor, signaling a major shift in Morocco's tourism landscape.

"We believe in this city's potential," said Bouchaib Rzane, Founder and CEO of Access Morocco, who organized the event. For many of the international visitors, it was their first time discovering what Rabat has to offer.

The capital's transformation didn't happen by accident. New hotels have opened across the city, and modern conference facilities now rival those in more established destinations. The city sits along Morocco's new high-speed TGV rail line, making it easily accessible for both business travelers and tourists.

Industry leaders say the city still needs more hotel rooms to meet growing demand. Weekday bookings already fill up quickly, showing that business travelers are eager to visit.

The vision extends beyond Rabat itself. Tourism officials are working to connect the capital with nearby cities like Salé and Kénitra, plus the countryside stretching toward Fez. This regional approach means visitors can enjoy cultural experiences, adventure activities, and authentic Moroccan cuisine alongside their conferences.
