Newport Fundraiser Raises Record $785K for Rescue Animals

Nearly 300 animal lovers gathered on a breezy July evening and shattered fundraising records for homeless pets in need.

The Potter League for Animals hosted its annual Yappy Hour cocktail party on July 19 at Beaulieu, a historic Bellevue Avenue estate in Newport. Longtime animal advocate Dede Wilsey opened her home for the cause, and supporters responded with unprecedented generosity.
