NFL Star Stefon Diggs Gives $30K to Single Mothers

In May 2023, the Diggs Deep Foundation gave a $30,000 grant to The Tender Foundation, an organization that supports single mothers. The gift was presented during an all-star charity basketball game at Calvin Coolidge High School in Washington, DC, where more than 600 people gathered to celebrate families and community.

Diggs brought fellow athletes including his brother Trevon Diggs, Damar Hamlin, Leonard Fournette, John Wall, and P.J. Tucker to the event. The game gave families a chance to enjoy an evening together while raising awareness about the challenges single mothers face.

The $30,000 grant helps The Tender Foundation provide financial support and resources to single mothers dealing with economic pressure. The money creates a safety net so mothers can focus on raising their children without constant financial worry.

Diggs' foundation focuses on more than one-time donations. The organization creates ongoing programs that reduce stress for families, including holiday turkey giveaways and youth football camps for children in the DC area.

The Ripple Effect

Diggs took his community approach to New England after joining the Patriots. In November 2024, he hosted "Game Day of Giving: Gear Up & Give Back" at Gillette Stadium for families from Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

The evening included food, children's activities, and family entertainment. The foundation distributed "Diggs Deep Warm-Up Kits" filled with coats, hats, gloves, socks, and other cold-weather essentials to help families stay warm through winter.

"It's a service to others and it makes you feel good inside when you can impact the youth or mothers," Diggs said during the Gillette Stadium event. He explained that joining a new community meant finding ways to give back to the people who support his team.

The foundation's work shows how one family's hardship can inspire lasting change for thousands of others. By supporting mothers, Diggs helps create stability for entire families and shows children what's possible when someone believes in their potential.
