Nigeria Firm Invests 10 Years in Clean Energy Access

The renewable energy firm, originally funded by Shell, celebrated its anniversary by hosting a hackathon that brought together students from the University of Lagos, Lagos State University, and Yaba College of Technology. CEO Caroline Eboumbou explained that the company has invested in people, businesses, and partnerships expanding clean energy access across Nigeria, with a special focus on underserved areas.

The anniversary event challenged six diverse student teams to design real solutions for real problems. Participants tackled energy challenges in healthcare, education, agriculture, fisheries, and cold storage, creating innovations that needed to work both technically and financially.

All On specializes in helping low-income households and small businesses access affordable, reliable electricity through off-grid solutions. Over the past decade, they've moved beyond traditional investment to become talent builders and idea incubators.

The hackathon required students to think like entrepreneurs, not just engineers. Their proposed solutions had to be commercially viable, financially sustainable, digitally enabled, and capable of creating meaningful social impact in their communities.
