Nigerian Police Get Free Rescue Training from Private Firm

Edgard Consulting Limited brought 40 IRT personnel to Abuja this week for intensive training in rescue operations, emergency medical response, and tactical interventions. The entire program was offered free as part of the company's commitment to strengthening national security.

The two-day course covered critical skills like casualty evacuation, trauma management for gunshot wounds, anti-hostage operations, and search and rescue coordination. Lead instructor Simeon Itodo emphasized that the training meets international standards comparable to programs in Israel, the United States, and Europe.

Edward Orim, the firm's CEO, explained why his company chose to invest in law enforcement. "We want to support our people because the police are our partners in maintaining security," he said. His organization specializes in protecting schools, humanitarian operations, and other vulnerable locations across Nigeria.
