Nigerian Troops Rescue 3 Kidnap Victims in Night Raid

Three kidnapped men are back with their families today after Nigerian Army troops chased down their captors in a nighttime rescue mission. The operation in Kaduna State shows what's possible when security forces respond quickly to communities in crisis.

Bandits struck Kushere Village in the early hours of Tuesday morning, abducting Abdullahi, Saidu Julfe, and Kamilu Joddi from their homes. The attackers fled toward the Kafin Gora area with their captives, but they didn't get far.

Troops from Operation FANSAN YAMMA received the distress call at 1:00 a.m. and immediately mobilized from their Forward Operating Base in Dokan Karji. They tracked the kidnappers through the night, catching up with them before dawn broke.

When troops confronted the bandits, gunfire erupted. But the military's swift action forced the criminals to abandon the three victims and scatter into the darkness, choosing escape over confrontation.

All three kidnapped men were recovered safely and returned to their village. No casualties were reported among the victims or the responding troops.
