Kanyinsola Ajayi announced Thursday that he's signed a professional contract with Adidas, marking a major milestone for the 21-year-old sprinter who has taken the track world by storm. The partnership comes less than two weeks after his historic bronze medal win at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

Ajayi clocked 9.90 seconds in the 100-meter final, becoming Nigeria's first Commonwealth Games men's 100m medalist in two decades. He finished behind Cameroon's Emmanuel Eseme, who set a Commonwealth record of 9.83 seconds, and Australia's Lachlan Kennedy, who took silver in 9.85 seconds.
