Norwich City Players Donate £80K to Youth Programs

Norwich City's entire first team found a powerful way to support the young people in their community. Every player, plus head coach Philippe Clement and sporting director Ben Knapper, donated one day's salary to the Norwich City Community Sports Foundation, totaling about £80,000.

The Championship side's official charity uses sport to create opportunities for young people across Norfolk. The foundation runs programs ranging from food poverty initiatives to year-round activities that keep kids active and engaged.

Club captain Kenny McLean said the gesture shows appreciation for the foundation's work. "Hopefully, this donation allows them to continue their amazing work within our community," he shared.

The timing wasn't random. The team coordinated the donation with Saturday's match against Birmingham City, using the game day to spotlight the foundation's impact and raise even more funds through additional initiatives.
