Ohio Eagles Club Gives $11,750 to Local Groups

The Circleville Eagles Aerie #685 just handed out nearly $12,000 to organizations across their Ohio community, proving that grassroots generosity can make a massive difference in small towns.

The fraternal club distributed donations ranging from $250 to $5,000 to seven different groups. The largest chunk went to a horse race fundraiser supporting youth baseball and softball fields in neighboring Fayette County, where young athletes need well-maintained places to play.

Local first responders got some love too. The Clearcreek Township Fire Department received $3,500 for their annual truck pull fundraiser, continuing a long partnership between the Eagles and the department.

Special Olympics athletes in Pickaway County benefited twice. The organization received $1,000 for their 2026 golf scramble and another $500 through a joint fundraiser with AMVETS Post 2256, supporting year-round training, equipment, and competition costs for local athletes with disabilities.

St. Philip's Episcopal Church got $1,000 for their Turkey Trot 5K, a Thanksgiving Day race that raises money for emergency food pantries serving families facing hunger. School programs received support too, with $500 going to Logan Elm High School's marching band and $250 helping Circleville Middle School cheerleaders cover costs for uniforms, tumbling classes, and competition fees.

These donations represent more than just checks changing hands. When a fire department gets support, entire neighborhoods benefit from better emergency services. When Special Olympics receives funding, athletes gain confidence and community connection that extends far beyond the playing field.
