Old Dominion Women's Tennis Wins Sixth Straight Title

Old Dominion's women's tennis team just secured their sixth straight conference championship, proving that consistency and teamwork create championship dynasties. The #60 ranked Monarchs swept Marshall 4-0 in Rome, Georgia, delivering what their coach called "arguably our best match of the season."

The victory came down to #103 ranked Kira Matushkina, who dominated on court one with a decisive 6-2, 6-0 win over Johanna Strom. Her clinching victory sealed the Sun Belt Conference Championship and sent the team into celebration mode.

The Monarchs set the tone early in doubles play. Uladzislava Manzhos and Marina Markina started strong with a 6-2 victory, while Lidiia Rasskouskaia and Ulyana Romanova secured the doubles point with their 6-4 win.

Singles play showcased the team's depth and skill. Marina Markina crushed her opponent 6-0, 6-1 on court six, while Rasskouskaia dominated with a 6-1, 6-2 victory on court five.
