The 27-year-old athlete led the daily team meeting, packed customer orders, and signed packages that went out for same-day delivery.

But the real star of the event wasn't Swayman or his shiny gold medal from the 2026 Winter Olympics. It was the moment Amazon presented a $25,000 check to Post-22, a local nonprofit that trains adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities for meaningful employment.

More than 20 Post-22 participants and staff members were there to receive the grant. The organization runs Ben's Beans, a coffee shop that doubles as a hospitality training lab where adults learn valuable work skills in a real business environment.

The coffee shop opened in September 2024 and has become a community gathering spot where trainees gain confidence and experience. The $25,000 grant will fund the nonprofit's employment and training programs, helping more young adults transition into independent work life after they turn 22.

Swayman brought Marty Walsh, Executive Director of the NHL Players Association, to the event. Together they answered questions from Post-22 participants and Amazon employees, creating connections between professional athletes and everyday heroes doing important work in their community.
