Oregon Beach Cleanup Brings Community Together This Fall

After a summer of sandy picnics and sunset strolls, Oregon beachgoers are rolling up their sleeves to give back to the coastline they love.

Friends of Netarts Bay WEBS is hosting its fall beach cleanup on September 19th, inviting families and solo volunteers to join a decades-long tradition of coastal care. The two-hour event runs from noon to 2pm, covering the stunning stretch from Cape Lookout State Park to Cape Meares.

"Clean up the beach with friends or family, or expand your community by teaming up with fellow volunteers," says Marina Dreeben, the organization's Stewardship Coordinator. Volunteers of all ages can participate, making it a perfect weekend activity for anyone who wants to make a difference.

The logistics are refreshingly simple. Everyone meets at the Schooner Restaurant at noon to grab buckets, gloves, and trash grabbers. If you have supplies at home, bringing your own is encouraged.
