Pensacola's Juneteenth Festival Brings Joy to Museum Plaza

Museum Plaza in downtown Pensacola became the heart of celebration as families filled the streets for a Juneteenth festival that felt like coming home.

The "Juneteenth: A Family Reunion for the Culture" festival drew crowds eager to mark the historic day with music, dance, and community connection. Hosts Kimberly and Aaron Watson welcomed attendees to a full day of festivities that showcased local talent and honored community leaders.

Polimbatree, an African drum and dance group, commanded the stage with performances that had the crowd on their feet. Artist Ethan Middleton and performer Abena also took turns energizing the plaza with live music that ranged from contemporary beats to cultural classics.
