The scene unfolded Thursday in Miami's Brickell neighborhood when 21-year-old Yagiz Dogan allegedly grabbed two bracelets from a woman's hands and took off running. She'd met him near the Chase Bank on Brickell Avenue to show him the jewelry, similar to how another victim had tried to sell him a $15,000 diamond ring just a week earlier.

But this time, someone was watching.

A nearby Good Samaritan heard the woman's shouts and immediately gave chase. When Dogan allegedly turned and sprayed him with pepper spray, most people would have stopped. This hero didn't.

Police connected Dogan to an earlier incident on July 18, when he allegedly pulled the same trick on a woman selling a diamond ring. Investigators say he examined the ring and its certificate before running off with both items.
