Rajasthan's 300-Year-Old Palace Rises From a Lake

His Highness Jai Singh II recognized the palace's potential when he renovated it in 1745. He transformed the property into a masterpiece of Indo-Saracenic architecture, blending Islamic and Indian design elements in ways that still inspire architects today.

The building originally served as the residence for three Prime Ministers of the royal Jaipur state. For centuries, it stood as a symbol of the region's wealth and artistic vision, weathering monsoons and political changes alike.
