Randeep Hooda: Fatherhood Made Me Want to Live Longer

Randeep Hooda says fatherhood has given him a reason to come home early and live a longer, healthier life.

The Bollywood actor, who married Lin Laishram in 2023, welcomed his daughter Nyomica on March 10, 2026. In recent interviews promoting his web series "Inspector Avinash," Hooda shared how the experience has transformed him in unexpected ways.

"I want to be fitter and live longer for her, and I want to make her prouder than possibly my mother was," Hooda told SCREEN. He admitted his first instinct after becoming a father was protective and fierce, but he's also discovered a new tenderness he didn't know he had.

The change shows up in small, daily ways. Hooda revealed he now finds excuses to rush home after filming instead of staying away for months like he used to.

"I did not have a reason to go home, but now I find excuses to go home as soon as possible," he shared with Hindustan Times. "I have a sweet daughter whom I always desire to see."

The actor recently brought Lin and Nyomica to a film set. While they got bored quickly, Hooda loved having them nearby.

When announcing his daughter's birth, Hooda posted a touching photo of his own father holding Nyomica. He thanked his wife for "making me a father and for bringing our little girl into this world."
