Renovo Veterans Turn BBQ Fundraiser Into Town Celebration

The Sons of the American Legion Post 442 spent their Saturday morning flipping chicken at the American Legion Remembrance Post on Erie Avenue. Steve Fantaski, a Sons of the American Legion member, brought the cooking setup and recruited volunteers Keith and Kevin Tripp to help man the grills.

The windy conditions turned out to be an accidental marketing campaign. Smoke and the aroma of barbecue spread throughout the small town, leading neighbors to follow their noses straight to the fundraiser.
