Retinal Implant Restores Vision for Macular Degeneration

Science Corporation announced Thursday it raised $230 million to bring PRIMA, its wireless retinal implant, to the United States. The company is currently awaiting approval from the Food and Drug Administration.

The company expects to launch PRIMA later this year in Europe following the successful trial results. The American launch will depend on FDA approval, which the company is currently awaiting.
