Saudi Arabia's Northern Borders region is proving that sustainable farming and food security can thrive together in one of the world's harshest climates.

The region now supports 7.5 million livestock animals, with sheep leading the way at 7.2 million head. The numbers also include nearly 236,000 goats, 57,000 camels, and 308 cattle, all contributing to the Kingdom's push for greater food independence under Vision 2030.

Those commercial operations produce 2.7 billion liters of milk annually from 233,000 dairy cows, complementing the rangeland herding that sustains rural communities.
