Saudi Foundation Donates $5.3M to Humanitarian Projects

A major humanitarian foundation in Saudi Arabia is putting $5.3 million toward helping communities in need, just as the holy month of Ramadan begins.

The King Abdullah Humanitarian Foundation announced the donation through Ehsan, Saudi Arabia's national charity platform. The funds will support development projects, sustainable community initiatives, and humanitarian work across the country.

The timing matters. The donation is part of Saudi Arabia's sixth National Campaign for Charitable Work, which runs annually throughout Ramadan, a month dedicated to charity and reflection for Muslims worldwide.

Dr. Abdulaziz bin Fahad Al-Anqari, the foundation's CEO, emphasized the power of working together. He said the donation confirms "the importance of integrating national efforts in enhancing the impact of humanitarian work."

The foundation focuses on sustainable solutions that help the most vulnerable groups improve their quality of life. It carries forward the legacy of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, who championed humanitarian work and community service.

The Ripple Effect

This single donation is part of something much bigger. The King Abdullah Humanitarian Foundation has already helped more than 42 million people across 17 countries through its humanitarian, development, and community programs.

The Ehsan platform itself shows how technology can transform giving. In 2025 alone, it raised more than $1.2 billion for charity. Over five years, more than 330 million donations totaling $3.7 billion have flowed through the platform.

The system uses artificial intelligence and advanced data analytics to verify that help reaches the right people without duplication. Donors can complete their contributions in less than five seconds, removing barriers between generosity and impact.

Another platform, Jood Eskan, has raised $1.3 billion from 4.5 million donors since 2019 to help low-income families secure housing. These digital tools are turning individual acts of kindness into massive movements for change.

The foundation continues expanding its reach inside Saudi Arabia and around the world, proving that thoughtful philanthropy combined with smart technology can touch millions of lives.
