SC Cleaning Plant Adds 30 Jobs With $3.37M Expansion

Thirty new paychecks are coming to Colleton County families as a local cleaning products manufacturer doubles down on its South Carolina success story.

Trison Wells announced Thursday it's pouring $3.37 million into expanding its Walterboro facility, where workers make the private-label cleaning products millions of Americans use every day. The company manufactures everything from laundry detergent to car care products for well-known brands.

The expansion centers on a new state-of-the-art liquid-fill production line that will significantly boost how many bottles the plant can produce each year. The company first opened its doors in Walterboro just three years ago with 35 jobs and a $1.2 million investment.

General Manager Jonathan Johnson says the growth reflects both the quality of local workers and the support from county leaders. "With the local talent and the support of Colleton County through the economic alliance, we will make this project a success," he said.

"Each of the 30 jobs created in this expansion will create a better opportunity and brighter future for our families here," he said.
