ShopRite Yardley Opens 6 Ultra-Fast EV Charging Stations

Grocery shopping and charging your electric vehicle just became a perfect pair in Lower Makefield Township, Pennsylvania.

ShopRite of Yardley celebrated the grand opening of six new hyper-fast electric vehicle charging stations outside their Big Oak Road location on Wednesday. The Colalillo family, who own the grocery chain, partnered with Electrify America to bring the charging hub to their parking lot.

These aren't your average charging stations. The new chargers deliver up to 350 kilowatts of power, making them some of the fastest publicly available EV chargers in the country.

That means drivers can add significant range to their vehicles in the time it takes to grab a gallon of milk and some fresh produce. For context, these hyper-fast chargers can add 20 miles of range per minute of charging for many newer electric vehicles.

The timing couldn't be better. As more Pennsylvania families switch to electric vehicles, the need for convenient, fast charging continues to grow.
