Siblings Graduate Together at Papua New Guinea University

When Vanessa and Bradley Ambuk walked across the stage at Divine Word University's 44th graduation ceremony, they became a double blessing for their family from Bunabun village in Madang Province. Among 794 graduates, the siblings stood side by side as Vanessa received her Bachelor in Health Management and Bradley earned his Diploma in Management.

For Vanessa, the moment represented the end of a difficult journey. She had spent years away from school while watching her classmates move forward, a period she describes as painful but ultimately worth the wait.

"It has taken me so long to get this degree," Vanessa shared after the ceremony. "I faced many challenges and even stayed home for a few years while my classmates continued their studies."

Her persistence paid off. Vanessa credits her parents for keeping her focused, especially her mother who pushed her forward and her father who became her greatest supporter.

Bradley found special meaning in sharing the milestone with his sister. "Graduating with a Diploma in Management and alongside my sister is not only an academic achievement, but a very special moment filled with joy, pride and a sense of accomplishment," he said.
