Six Students Honored for Achievement in Burien Schools

Six students are getting well-deserved recognition for their hard work and dedication to their communities. The Rotary Club of Burien/White Center named its April Students of the Month, honoring teenagers from three area high schools.

Adrian Mendoza and Luisa Garza Rios from Evergreen High School earned recognition alongside their peers. Ona York and Valeria Farias Rivera represented Highline High School, while Seamus Dunn and Camille Hanna stood out at Kennedy High School.

The monthly program spotlights students who excel both in the classroom and in giving back to their neighborhoods. These six students were chosen from schools serving Burien, White Center, SeaTac, Normandy Park, and Des Moines.

Each honoree demonstrated academic achievement while staying involved in their communities. The Rotary club evaluates students based on their grades, leadership skills, and service to others.
