Spokane Seahawks Fans Celebrate NFC Championship Win

Constance Valandra wiped away tears as the Seattle Seahawks lifted the NFC championship trophy at 24 Taps Burgers & Brews in downtown Spokane. After 25 years living in Seattle, this moment meant everything to her.

Best friends Valandra and Cole Hameron wore their jerseys proudly from front row seats at the bar they call their second home. They watch every game together there, but Sunday's matchup against the Los Angeles Rams carried extra weight.

"I'm elated! I wish I could be there to see this moment," Valandra said, imagining her Seattle friends celebrating. "I just know all my friends are off the hook there. They're losing their mind."

Cameron Davis jumped and screamed as the clock ran out in the fourth quarter. "That's what we do!" he yelled, hitting the bar with his palm before rushing outside to call his mom with the good news.

At Brick West Brewing, Lisa Sparks arrived late and missed the first quarter. Her friend Adrian Fichtner caught her up on the tight game, debating which team held the advantage at halftime.

Valandra admitted she had doubts going in. "I was so nervous. The Rams play so well. And it really turned out pretty close," she said.

The Ripple Effect

For Hameron, these gatherings represent something bigger than football. The games give the community a chance to unite during challenging times and forget their worries for a few hours.

"It's a great escape from the political nonsense that's happening," Hameron said. "Just take a night to be together and forget about those things."

As Sparks looked ahead to the Super Bowl matchup against the New England Patriots, she felt confident. "I think everybody will be rooting for us this time," she said with a smile.

The Seahawks are Super Bowl bound, and their fans believe it's finally their turn to bring home the trophy.
