The move addresses a real need in Auburn, where the food bank serves 140 families every single day. That's thousands of people relying on donated food to get by.

Facility manager Michelle Moore-Hicks sees it as a natural extension of their mission. "Supporting our local community goes beyond providing storage space," she said. "We're proud to help make food donations more convenient for our customers and neighbors."

The setup is simple but smart. People are already driving to the storage facility anyway, so adding a bag of canned goods or pasta to their trunk takes minimal extra effort. It's the kind of low-barrier giving that can really add up.
