Stuntman Travis Pastrana to Backflip White House Lawn

The White House lawn is about to witness one of the most daring stunts in American history.

This Saturday, June 13, Nitro Circus legend Travis Pastrana will attempt a dirt bike backflip on the South Lawn during UFC Freedom 250. The event celebrates America's 250th anniversary with a twist nobody saw coming.

The whole thing started when Pastrana pitched the idea to UFC chief Dana White at a Power Slap event. He fully expected to get laughed off, but White took it seriously.

"You grabbed me at Power Slap and said, 'I want to do a backflip on the South Lawn of the White House,'" White told Pastrana during Tuesday's announcement call. "And I said, 'Interesting. All right, let me see what I can do.'"

Pastrana could barely believe it. "That's a yes?" he replied. "We're back-flipping the White House lawn?"

White reached out to his friend President Trump, and the stunt quickly became reality. The jump, sponsored by Black Rifle Coffee, will help launch the upcoming Nitro Circus tour.

Pastrana's no stranger to over-the-top stunts. Most recently, he rode a dirt bike through the floor of a Las Vegas casino to sell tickets. But performing on the White House lawn takes things to an entirely different level.
