Sweden Partners with India Port for Green Shipping Future

One of India's busiest ports is teaming up with Sweden to build a cleaner, greener future for global shipping.

Deendayal Port Authority in Kandla welcomed Swedish Consul General Sven Östberg in September 2024 to explore how the two nations can work together on sustainable maritime solutions. The meeting focused on sharing knowledge, transferring technology, and developing research partnerships that could revolutionize how ports operate.

Sweden brings decades of expertise in sustainable technologies and environmentally responsible development to the table. India contributes its rapidly growing maritime capabilities and ambitious clean energy goals, creating a partnership that plays to both nations' strengths.
