When scandal threatened to tear apart Sydney's beloved Swans, the club responded with breathwork, unity, and an unbreakable bond between their men's and women's teams.

AFLW player Cynthia Hamilton didn't expect a crisis to bring everyone together. But after five male players received season bans following the Pullman Hotel incident, something shifted at the club.

Men's star Errol Gulden started organizing morning breathwork sessions for both teams. Hamilton says these small moments of connection have created something special.

"This has honestly brought us closer," Hamilton told reporters. "The boys have been bloody awesome. They've really brought the two groups together."

The support flows both ways. When the women's team played at the SCG in round two, fans turned out in record numbers with 16,672 attendees, more than double their previous home game high.

Meanwhile, the men's team faced their lowest home crowd of the season. But by the time their qualifying final rolled around, 37,261 fans packed the SCG to watch them upset reigning premiers Brisbane by 53 points.

Sunday's derby against GWS at Henson Park offers another chance for fans to show up. Hamilton has a simple message for supporters: "Keep getting around us, keep showing up, and we won't disappoint."

Even rival player Tarni Evans from GWS encouraged fans to support the fixture, recognizing the bigger picture beyond competition.
