Taylor Farms Awards $575K in Scholarships to 32 Students

Taylor Farms is proving that investing in people pays the greatest dividends. The Salinas-based company just awarded $575,000 in scholarships to 32 students, bringing their total educational investment to nearly $5.3 million since the program began.

The scholarships support full-time employees and their children pursuing everything from four-year university degrees to trade school certifications. This year's awards included 20 scholarships for students heading to universities, 9 for those attending junior colleges and trade schools, and 3 for Taylor Farms employees advancing their own education.

"Education opens doors and breaks barriers—it creates equal opportunity to thrive and be the best you can be," said Bruce Taylor, the company's Chairman and CEO. His words reflect a corporate philosophy that sees employee families as an extension of the business itself.

Aimee Inobaya, who chairs the scholarship committee, sees the human side of every application. "Behind every applicant and essay is a student with big dreams and a family that works hard every day to make them possible," she explained.

The company partners with the Community Foundation for Monterey County to manage the application and award process. This partnership ensures fair evaluation and professional administration of the funds.
