Teen Saves Drowning 18-Year-Old at Candlewood Lake

When an 18-year-old swimmer went underwater at Candlewood Lake on Saturday afternoon, a 15-year-old stranger didn't hesitate to become a hero.

The incident happened when several people were swimming from an anchored boat to Chicken Rock, a popular spot on the Connecticut lake. The teen struggled in the water and disappeared below the surface.

Four of his friends immediately swam to help, joined by the 15-year-old who was nearby. Together, they pulled the young man from the water and brought him back to safety.
