Teen Wrestler Emma Bacon Wins 3rd National Championship

A Pennsylvania high school wrestler just made history by winning her third U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals title before even starting her senior year.

Emma Bacon of Bishop McCort Catholic High School needed only 27 seconds to pin her opponent in the 135-pound junior division finals Saturday in Fargo, North Dakota. The rising senior from Pennsylvania defeated Arizona's Camila Torres to claim the gold medal.

Bacon's dominance went far beyond the championship match. She tallied five pins and one technical fall throughout the entire tournament, steamrolling through the competition on her way to the top of the podium.

Her exceptional performance earned her a golden ticket to compete in FloWrestling's Who's No. 1 event, an invitation-only competition featuring the nation's top wrestlers. The opportunity puts Bacon among an elite group of athletes who have proven themselves at the highest levels of youth wrestling.
