Texas High School Girls Win Back-to-Back State Title

The Live Oak Falcons girls basketball team proved that champions know how to finish strong, capturing their second straight TAPPS 3A state title in Waco, Texas.

The championship game against Abilene Christian stayed nail-bitingly close through two quarters, with Live Oak holding just a four-point edge at halftime. But when the pressure mounted in the third quarter, the Falcons found their rhythm.

Audrey Pahmiyer turned the gym into her personal highlight reel with acrobatic shots that seemed to defy gravity. Meanwhile, Campbell Ogden caught fire from beyond the arc, draining crucial three-pointers that stretched the lead to nine points heading into the final quarter.

The fourth quarter turned into a defensive grind with both teams fighting for every possession. Ogden answered the challenge with two more deep threes that sealed the victory.

Pahmiyer finished the championship game with 16 points while Ogden added 15, but the win represented something bigger than individual stats. The entire team delivered when it mattered most.
