Texas Storage Company Rewards Students for Effort, Not Just A's

A self-storage company in Temple, Texas is proving that effort deserves just as much celebration as perfection. Amy's Attic Self Storage just launched a rewards program for elementary students that recognizes improvement and attendance alongside academic excellence.

The Student Achievement & Perfect Attendance Rewards Program welcomes students in grades 1 through 5. After the first grading period, kids can earn recognition in two ways: maintaining top grades or showing improvement from their previous report card.

That second option matters deeply. Students don't need to be honor roll superstars all year long to get celebrated. If a child brings up their math grade or improves in reading, they qualify for the same goodie bag as the straight-A students.

Parents bring their child and a report card to any participating Amy's Attic location. Each qualifying student receives a goodie bag with a small gift, their choice of water or soda, and candy.

The program adds another layer for attendance. Students with perfect attendance during a semester receive a goodie bag and one entry into a bicycle drawing. At the end of the school year, one lucky student wins a bike.

Bob Vamvas, Director of Operations, explains the thinking behind the program simply. "An A is worth celebrating. Improving your grades is worth celebrating. Showing up every day and achieving perfect attendance is worth celebrating."
